About This Online Resource
The Vikings.
Introduction: From the 8th to the 11th century. Ireland and England were prone to attacks from a group of sailers called the Vikings. These Vikings arrived from Scandinavian countries, which are, Denmark, Norway and Sweden. They left Scandinavia in search of food so everyone could eat and survive. This resource will help bring the children back to what life was like for Vikings between the 8th and the 11th centuries. They will be immersed in stories and ideas relating to History, Drama and art. The Aim:
The aim of this website is to enable children to learn about the Vikings on a digital resource that helps to fill the curriculums needs in a fun and interesting way. Accompanying each resource will be the curriculum objectives and also the way the resource would be used in a structured lesson Class level:
This website is aimed for a 3rd and 4th class audience. Links to different areas to the curriculum such as: History, Drama, Visual Arts, English and Geography.
